Apply to the IBDP or IBCP
We welcome applicants who are aged 15-17 at the time of applying to study at one of 18 UWC schools and colleges.
UWC students are aged 16-19 and live and learn together for two years, experiencing the world from a multitude of perspectives, all while pursuing the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

At UWC, you will:
- Study the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or Career-related Programme (IBCP).
- Learn alongside students from different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

There are two ways to apply to study at UWC:
Which route should I apply to?
Global Selection Programme (GSP)
Applying through the Global Selection Programme is for those who do not require financial assistance to attend UWC.
When you apply via the GSP:
- You may receive a decision on your application sooner rather than later
- You will be able to select the UWC school(s) or college(s) you would like to attend*
- You will be completing your application in English
- You will need to ensure that you can pay the full tuition fees
* Please note UWC Adriatic, UWC Robert Bosch College and UWC South East Asia are not participating in the GSP for entry 2025.
Please note: Due to 'Survey Monkey Apply' application platform updates, if you are from the following countries, please apply via your UWC national committee: Belarus, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Russia, The Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions of Ukraine
UWC National Committee (NC)
Applying through your UWC national committee is for those who think they may need financial assistance to attend UWC.
When you apply via an NC:
- You may receive means-based financial assistance to attend UWC.
- You may be able to apply in your local language (depending on your national committee’s selection process).
- You will be assessed by selectors from your local context.
You are only allowed to submit one application per academic year to study at UWC.
