Umoja Short Course is an experiential and transformational opportunity to learn alongside change makers from all over the world. The 10 days short course will be physically held at the United World College East Africa, Moshi Campus. The course will allow participants aged 16 to 20 to become global and local actors, while they build a diverse community of change makers, explore their identity, and reflect upon their understanding of the world. The participants will also explore and foster an understanding of the multiple, complex identities within a community and focus on themes such as youth activism, entrepreneurship, conflict and problem-solving, climate change and gender. The course will place emphasis on participants to accumulate tools and resources to act as change makers in a sustainable manner, while challenging them to identify their own impact-generating projects.
