Mark has joined UWC Thailand for the 2024-25 academic year in order to allow the school time to appoint a new Head of School to start in July 2025. Mark is from New Zealand and has been a teacher and principal in both New Zealand and Tonga. In 2005, Mark took up a position in Qatar, before moving to Hong Kong in 2007 as the foundation principal of ESF Discovery College, a role which he held until 2019. Since then, he has continued doing work as a CIS visiting team chair, as well as consultancy for a number of educational organisations.
