ActionxChange (AxC)

31 July 2025

30 JUNE- 14 JULY

ActionxChange is the longest-running UWC short course, established in 2011 to bring UWC’s values and mission to life through dynamic and immersive learning experiences. Organised by UWC España (UWC Spanish Committee Foundation), this 15-day bilingual (English/Spanish) residential summer programme empowers young changemakers from Spain and beyond.

At the heart of ActionxChange is Youth Social Entrepreneurship. Each year, 60 participants aged 15–17 from diverse backgrounds come together to explore how to create and implement impactful social projects.

Through an innovative and experiential approach, participants develop essential skills in teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, budgeting, public speaking, debate, project design, and campaigning. They are encouraged to design their own initiatives, gaining the tools and confidence to drive change in their communities.

The experience is further enriched by interactive workshops on environmental sustainability, social justice, creative problem-solving, and global challenges, alongside a range of sports and outdoor activities.

By the end of the programme, ActionxChange participants leave not only with practical skills but also with a strengthened commitment to making a difference—true to the spirit of UWC.
