UMOJA, the Swahili word for "unity", enables participants to become global and local actors, while they build a diverse community of change makers, explore their identity, and reflect upon their understanding of the world.

The participants from four different continents also explore and foster an understanding of the multiple complex identities within a community and focus on themes such as youth activism, entrepreneurship, conflict and problem-solving, climate change and gender.

The course places emphasis on helping participants to accumulate tools and resources to act as change makers in a sustainable manner, while challenging them to identify their own impact-generating projects.
