Ebru Fergan
Council Member - Committee of the National Committees (CNC)
Ebru Aykan Fergan is a Pearson College UWC alumna (1987-1989) with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, International Trade and Economic Development, currently living in Istanbul, Turkey.
She is a co-founder of Turkish National Committee and has been its chair since 2010. She was appointed representative of the MENA region to the UWC Committee for National Committees in 2020. She is also a selector for the UWC Global Selection Program since its launch.
After graduating from LSE, Ebru, started her career in international trade finance and operations at Koc Holding, Ram Foreign Trade Inc. She also worked in Mobile Technologies at KVK Inc. where she held various responsibilities from sales, marketing, trade finance, media relations as well as running national campaigns during the early days of mobile technologies in Turkey. She is the co-founder and partner of Kareks Ltd., where she is currently working. Kareks Ltd. is an export company in manufacturing business with operations in 15 countries worldwide as well as trade relations with local companies. Ebru has two children, is an amateur tile painting artist, a flying trapeze enthusiast and has also written a fiction book.
