Mary Finn is an alumna from UWC Adriatic (2013 - 2015) who has recently been to Lesvos with a rescue organisation for two weeks, doing patrols and rescues in the Aegean Sea.

After that she went on to volunteer in Paris and distribute aid to the refugees on the streets. As she is studying photojournalism, she documented her experience in Lesvos and Paris through pictures, interviews and written articles, which resulted in two issues of REFUGE magazine. Next year, she plans to continue this project by travelling to different parts of Europe, Africa and the Middle East to document the refugee crisis and the work that is being done by volunteers.
