“It’s small, unexpected conversations that add so much value to the time and people over here. It’s really hard to describe this whole experience. It’s an experience that’s more of a feeling while you’re going through it. And the things that are talked about, the small conversations that we have, or the “pura vidas” that we share, those are the things that just make me smile and those are the things that I’ll cherish for a very long time.
One of my classmates saw me earlier and he told me, ‘you may know my name, but you don’t know my story.’ And I think that over here it’s not only the country that you come from, it’s beyond that and it’s about the experiences that we’ve had, the things we prioritize in our lives, the stories that we all live to share and in my view everybody has a story to tell.”
